Young woman laying down facts.
Also featuring a quick glimpse of original Village People singing group member Felipe Rose.
Considered to be the first documentary by and about LGBTQ people, "Gay USA" was directed by Arthur J. Bressan Jr. and chronicles the '70s Gay Rights Movement via Pride events in major cities nationwide. Some San Francisco sequences were filmed in 1978 in the wake of the murder of openly gay City Supervisor Harvey Milk and Anita Bryant's anti-Civil Rights campaign.
