BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son, Danny, a seasoned detective, family man and Iraq War vet who, on occasion, uses dubious tactics to solve cases with his partner, Detective Maria Baez. The Reagan women in the family include Erin, a N.Y. Assistant D.A., who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father, as well as a single parent to her teenage daughter Nicky, and Linda, Danny's supportive wife. Jamie is the youngest Reagan, a Harvard Law graduate and the family's "golden boy." Unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and follow in the family footsteps as a cop. He’s found a friend and ally in Eddie, his young and eager female partner, who keeps him on his toes, but has very different reasons than the Reagans for joining the police force.

The US Navy Blue Angels and US Air Force Thunderbirds performed a very rare joint flyover above New York City, Trenton, Newark, and Philadelphia on April 28, 2020 to honor health care and essential workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The teams departed from NAS Pensacola in Florida and were refueling mid-flight by four KC-10 Extenders before returning back to Pensacola.

The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron demonstrates skill on such a high level it seems almost supernatural. To say that such aerobatics requires precision and attention to detail is an understatement of laughable proportions.
The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach while inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country.

About the United States Marine Corps:
The Marine Corps defends the people of the United States at home and abroad. Within every Marine is the willingness to engage and determination to defeat any adversary, and it is this fighting spirit that allows us to fight and win our Nation’s battles.
The mission of the United States Marine Corps is made up of three promises: We make Marines, we win our Nation’s battles, and we develop quality citizens prepared to fight and win battles.
You don’t join the Marines—you become one, forged in the crucible of training aboard our recruit depots on Parris Island, South Carolina, and in San Diego, California, or through the dedication required of officer candidates at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. Beyond the physical requirements, aspiring Marines must prove they have the honor, courage, and commitment to face and defeat any obstacle.
Today, more than 180,000 enlisted Marines and 23,000 Marine Officers serve in active duty or reserve forces on bases and in communities around the world, proudly carrying with them the core values of the Marine Corps.

We got an inside look at the United States Marine Corps’ intense 13-week basic training program. Senior video correspondent Graham Flanagan spent five days at the Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina, where he observed different companies at various stages of training.
Recruits endure a series of intense physical challenges such as entering a gas chamber, rappelling down a 47-foot-tower, and fighting each other with “pugil sticks.” The Marine Corps is the only US military branch that separates male and female recruits during basic training. In a statement to Business Insider, a spokesperson from the Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot at Parris Island said, “The same gender platoon model allows for appropriate acclimation to the training environment, development of key relationships with drill instructors, and optimal focus during the beginning of their transformation.”
After weeks of extreme physical and psychological challenges, training culminates with “The Crucible,” a 54-hour event where recruits endure exhausting combat scenarios while running on minimal food and sleep.

With a legacy of battles won, the Marines have consistently been ready when our Nation was least ready, demonstrating a tradition of fighting and winning, always with a willingness to engage and determination to defeat any enemy. Their victories and achievements, in both war and peace, on and off the battlefield, have created significant moments in history for our Nation.
Anthem illustrates the historic battles Marines have fought and won, including:
• Belleau Wood – After 20 days of intense fighting during the German Spring Offensive of WWI near the Marne River in France, Marines secured victory and—according to legend—earned the nickname “Teufel Hunden” or “devil dogs.”
• Montford Point – The Montford Point Marines achieved victory at home when in 1942 President Roosevelt established a directive to allow African American men to fight for the Marine Corps; on the field they helped to win battles and changed the face of the Marine Corps.
• Iwo Jima – Amidst some of the fiercest and bloodiest fighting of the War in the Pacific of WWII, Marines captured the Japanese island of Iwo Jima during a five-week battle.
• Recruit Training – In successfully completing recruit training, Marines win the ultimate battles over self-doubt.
• Superstorm Sandy – After Superstorm Sandy slammed into the eastern coast of the U.S. in 2012, Marines fought for the communities of New York and New Jersey, bringing aid, organization, and much-needed manpower.Subscribe to see the latest from Marine Corps Recruiting on YouTube: https://us-marines.co/3gjMy5S

Marines are made for winning our Nation’s battles, driven by an unshakable belief that America’s future is worth fighting for.
This calling is one that only we can answer. Because while many desire to make a difference, only a few can earn their place among Marines. We were made for this.
