Cyprus has been divided over decades of conflict and is a crossroads of culture. Split into Turkish and Greek sections, the island’s capital city Nicosia is home to a wall separating the two cultures, but also hosting a traditional taste that has defined the nation for centuries. Andrew meets up with a local filmmaker, Constantinos Nikiforou and visits Berlin Wall No. 2 with him, an homage to the original Checkpoint Charlie. The restaurant celebrates classic Cypriot dishes like minced pork sheftelia, sheep’s milk yogurt, pork souvlaki, and lamb liver. From there, Andrew sets sail on the waters of Cyprus, where fishing remains a persistent profession despite the island's near-barren waters. Joining a crew of Cypriots from both sides of the border, rounded out with Egyptian deckhands, Andrew hits the water of Limassol, Cyprus’ largest southern port. The vivacious group pull in grouper, bream, and even a special surprise — a moray eel! Sounds like a fishy feast IS on the menu.
