WATCH LIVE: State funeral services for former President Jimmy Carter

Some of the nation's leaders, including President Joe Biden, are gathering to say goodbye to former President Jimmy Carter in Washington D.C.

Carter, the 39th president, died at 100 years old on Dec. 29, 2024 in Plains, Georgia. A National Funeral Service is being held at Washington National Cathedral at 10 a.m.


Tributes during the service will come from Biden, Carter's grandson -- Jason Carter -- and others. Andrew Young, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, will also be a part of the service.
