Pope Francis delivers his Christmas Day speech and his "Urbi et Orbi" blessing in the Vatican, as Europe grapples with the coronavirus pandemic. Popes have long delivered the speech and blessing from the loggia overlooking the piazza in the Vatican, which normally draws thousands of people to the square. Given social-distancing norms, however, the service won't be open to the public.
