Ha tomado casi una década, pero Kenia OS ha encontrado su lugar como una de las voces más emocionantes del pop latinoamericano. Tras una fructífera carrera como influencer y empresaria, Kenia incursionó en la música de lleno en el 2022 con los discos ‘Cambios de Luna’ y ‘K-23’. Mientras su debut se enfocó en los sonidos más urbanos como el reggaeton y el trap, fue la fusión de pop latino con EDM de ‘K-23’ lo que le dió su identidad musical. Con el álbum se estrenó el cortometraje ‘Universo K23’ dirigido por el equipo de directoras FLAKKA. El filme, que cuenta la historia de seis mujeres en un mundo futurístico que conectan a Kenia a metaversos distintos, ganó premios en el Festival de Cannes y la Berlinale, además de ser nominado a un Latin GRAMMY por Mejor Video Musical de Larga Duración. En su disco más reciente ‘Pink Aura’, Kenia abrazó el pop y la música tropical para crear un universo puramente suyo, donde celebra el poder de la feminidad. Con la ayuda de artistas como Bella Poarch, Álvaro Díaz, Villano Antillano y La Joaqui, Kenia mezcla el pop de vanguardia con bossa nova, RKT y reggaeton para crear el soundtrack de una noche de fiesta. “Me di cuenta que estaba reprimiendo esa energía femenina para hacerle cara a la industria, ser la persona que mantiene a mi familia y mantener esta carrera”, dijo Kenia a GRAMMY.com. “Para mí, este disco es para perdonar esa energía femenina, abrazarla y dejarla brillar”. Kenia filmó en exclusiva para Vevo dos presentaciones de “Malas Decisiones” de su disco ‘K-23’ y “Ojo x Ojo” de su más reciente producción ‘Pink Aura’, en directo desde Sevilla, España.

It’s taken almost a decade, but Kenia OS has found her place as one of the most exciting voices in Latin pop. After an impressive career as a beloved influencer and business woman, Kenia dove head first into music in 2022 with her debut album ‘Cambios de Luna’ and her follow up, ‘K-23.’ While her debut album focused on more urban sounds like reggaeton and trap, it was her Latin pop and EDM fusion on ‘K-23’ that gave her a musical identity. With the album came the short film ‘Universo K23’, directed by the FLAKKA team. The film, which tells the story of six women in a futuristic world who connect Kenia to different metaverses, won awards at Cannes and the Berlinale, apart from being nominated for a Latin GRAMMY in the Best Longform Music Video category. In her most recent ‘Pink Aura,’ Kenia embraces pop and tropical music to create a world that is purely hers, where she can celebrate the power of femininity. Top notch collaborators Bella Poarch, Álvaro Díaz, Villano Antillano and La Joaqui aid Kenia in mixing avant-garde pop, bossa nova, reggaeton and RKT tailor made to soundtrack a night out on the town. “I realized I started to hold back that feminine energy to be able to face the industry, to be the person in charge of my family, and keep up that livelihood,” she told GRAMMY.com. “For me, this album was about forgiving that feminine energy, embracing it, and healing myself, and above all, letting it shine.” Kenia filmed two exclusive performances for Vevo live from Seville, Spain – “Malas Decisiones” from ‘K-23’ and “Ojo x Ojo” from her most recent album ‘Pink Aura.’
