As they arrive on the scene, the suspect appears to hide drugs and quickly attempts to escape police capture despite being held at taser-point. Elsewhere, a traffic stop goes wrong as felons refuse to cooperate with the authority.
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

As a boss of the militant CFMEU, for 12 years John Setka was as tough and feared a union
leader as this country has ever seen. In that time he made plenty of noise, but late on Friday afternoon, with barely a whimper, he suddenly quit.
What he didn’t mention in his resignation announcement though was his decision to stand down came after we sent him a list of detailed questions he wouldn’t answer.
We wanted him to explain why his construction branch of the CFMEU had been infiltrated by underworld figures and outlaw motorcycle gang members. What John Setka did say was he hoped his departure would end scrutiny of his union.
Well as you’ll see tonight, it doesn’t.
And a warning, this story contains coarse language.

Twenty-year-old Ruqia Haidari lived with a conflict she could not resolve. She was torn between two worlds. On one hand, there were the strict but important customs of her Afghan heritage. On the other, the freedoms that life in Australia promised. Her friends said Ruqia longed to be a modern woman, but at home she couldn’t bring herself to disappoint her mother, Sakina Muhammad Jan, who had an entirely different plan for her daughter’s future. She told Ruqia she must marry a man she barely knew. Love didn’t factor into the equation. It was a forced marriage, it was illegal, and it ended disastrously.

It takes a strong artistic identity to shoulder both indie cred and pop appeal. Good thing there’s nothing fragile about Glass Animals. The UK quartet led by Dave Bayley hit the ground running when they crafted two beloved electro-pop albums: 2014’s gossamer debut ‘ZABA’ and 2016’s kaleidoscopic 'How To Be A Human Being.' For years, hip festival crowds swayed and stepped to “Gooey,” “Black Mambo,” and “Pork Soda.” Then came ‘Dreamland’ and its gargantuan single, “Heat Waves.” To make a hit so massive - it literally holds the title for longest run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart ever, and pretty much any streaming record imaginable for an “indie” band - is an accomplishment typically reserved for the “in your wildest dreams, pal” section of life. Such success can weigh a band down. It can also free more dreams. The new ‘I Love You So F**cking Much,’ arrives as the band has settled into what Bayley called the “beautiful roller coaster” of the past few years. He wrote much of the new music "quickly," while isolated in an Airbnb on LA's Mulholland Drive, and in “Creatures In Heaven,” you can hear a “be in the moment” message. The theme of removed perspective weaves right into our collab with the Brit lads. “Creatures In Heaven” found their space capsule crash landed on a far-away red planet, and “Show Pony” emphasizes the foursome as a band that’s stronger together. It’s taken almost a decade, but Kenia OS has found her place as one of the most exciting voices in Latin pop. Top notch collaborators Bella Poarch, Álvaro Díaz, Villano Antillano and La Joaqui aid Kenia in mixing avant-garde pop, bossa nova, reggaeton and RKT tailor made to soundtrack a night out on the town. “I realized I started to hold back that feminine energy to be able to face the industry, to be the person in charge of my family, and keep up that livelihood,” she told GRAMMY.com. “For me, this album was about forgiving that feminine energy, embracing it, and healing myself, and above all, letting it shine.” Kenia filmed two exclusive performances for Vevo live from Seville, Spain – “Malas Decisiones” from ‘K-23’ and “Ojo x Ojo” from her most recent album ‘Pink Aura.’

President Biden gave a prime-time Oval Office address about his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential election and his plans for the remainder of his first term. Mr. Biden shocked the nation Sunday when he posted a letter on social media, saying he believes "it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term." He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination shortly after.

FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed new details authorities have uncovered in their investigation into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, including the shooter's search history. Wray said the gunman had searched for details about the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy a week before the shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
