From being homeless, to be sentenced to 4 years in prison and than finally the Olympics, this incredible story from Tony Hoffman is amazing. After reading a quote in his prison cell written from a former inmate he set 4 goals. During his time he worked on his goals on and once he got out he went to compete and came 3rd place and won other races! But before he was able to go to the Olympics he suffered a devastating knee injury which meant he couldn't go to the Olympics anymore.

So instead of giving up he started coaching and after winning multiple races and training amazing athletes he got the one phone call he was dreaming to get, "pack your bags Hoff. You are going to the Olympics"......

All-ages drag shows have become the front line in America’s culture wars. Drag performances – classically, a show in which men dress in women’s clothing and perform under a female persona – are about as old as performance itself. History is filled with examples of men performing as women, from Shakespeare to Billy Wilder movies from the golden era of Hollywood.

Drag performance for adults was often something akin to burlesque. But in the era of reality TV, drag also went mainstream. Performer RuPaul’s 1992 radio hit about supermodels had kids across America singing the earworm “You better work.” His hit show, “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” burst onto television in 2009.

By this decade, experts were estimating that pride events were reaching record numbers in the country’s smallest towns. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was headed toward its 15th season on the air. “Drag brunches,” where performers mingle with a mimosa-vibed crowd, could be found in most of America’s big cities. Drag performers and experts say drag is about freedom of expression, about joy, about feeling glamorous and beautiful and outrageous. But they will also tell you it can be about something more than entertainment.

For some people, drag is a proxy for LGBTQ pride, and a form of acceptance. To some, a drag show, particularly, is a vibrant demonstration for people who feel different, one that tells them: It’s OK for you to be different, too. But somewhere in the midst of all that pop-culture acceptance, something got polarized in America. And while it wasn’t exactly all about drag performance, it was, people said, all about children.

To some people, it seemed more children than ever were questioning their gender, their own identity. And as the nation grappled with difficult questions about transgender rights, medical care for children questioning their gender and their parents’ right to help them, all-ages drag shows became a proxy battleground for these complex debates.

Because drag shows have traditionally featured risqué content, crude language and even nudity or partial nudity, many Americans questioned why all-ages drag shows even exist. Fed by conservative media, conspiracy theories erupted about these events: They aimed to expose children to sexual activity, opponents claimed. Or to make them transgender. Or lure them into the hands of sexually abusive drag queens.

FRONTLINE and the Venezuelan news outlet Armando.info investigate Alex Saab, a shadowy figure at the heart of a corruption scandal spanning from Venezuela to the U.S., and explore what has happened to the journalists who helped uncover the scandal.

In 2016, as Venezuela was in economic freefall, President Nicolás Maduro’s government responded with the CLAP program: a domestic aid initiative that was billed as providing high-quality, essential food items to Venezuelans impacted by the economic crisis. But as the FRONTLINE and Armando.info documentary shows, complaints about powdered milk in the CLAP boxes soon caught the attention of a team of journalists. Armando.info requested a chemical analysis of a few of the milk products, and a researcher they consulted noted some were so deficient in calcium and high in sodium they couldn’t be classified as milk at all.

Armando.info’s investigative journalist Roberto Deniz and his colleagues also uncovered that the CLAP initiative itself was enriching Saab, the biggest contractor for the food program and a close associate of Maduro’s. The Armando.info journalists’ reporting helped expose a vast corruption scandal, which ultimately made them targets of the Maduro government. Facing threats, harassment and possible jail time, Deniz made the difficult decision to flee Venezuela, and continued to follow the story from exile in Colombia.

As governments across the globe crack down on a free press and journalists face increased intimidation, “A Dangerous Assignment” is a stunning look at the price of journalism in Venezuela.

From 2017's 'Simisola' to 2022's 'To Be Honest,' all the building block's of Simi's music got stronger and stronger and stronger. The Nigerian singer with the gospel roots and the pop sensibilities, who actually dropped her first album in 2008 and by 2022 was respected enough to guide neophytes on the seventh season of Nigerian Idol, is striver who's always nudging herself towards further eloquence. But there's a through-line in her work as well, and it's called rhythm. The groove that keeps 2017's "Joromi" bouncing is also providing the tension on 'TBH''s "Logba Logba." It was "Tiff," a ballad with a beat, that busted her out of the pack back in 2014. From then on, it's been one foot in front of the other - achievement after achievement. The singer, who is married to Adekunle Gold, tickled fans when she answered a recent Twitter question about an upcoming album in the affirmative. "Yes, and it's fire" was the confirmation. Know what else is fire? This studio version of "All I Want." Her four-piece band does no wrong and Simi soars over their syncopation. Yes, the groove is there.

Pope Francis lies in state in St Peter’s Basilica ahead of his funeral on Saturday. The public viewing begins on Wednesday morning, after his casket is taken by procession from the Vatican hotel where he lived to St. Peter’s. The procession starts at 0700GMT and is presided over by the camerlengo, the interim administrator of the Vatican, Cardinal Kevin Farrell. Members of the public can pay their respects to the late pontiff between 0900GMT and 2200GMT
Pope Francis, a voice for the poor who overcame fierce resistance to reshape the Catholic Church, has died at 88, the Vatican has announced. The pope’s death was announced on Monday morning by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Vatican camerlengo.
“Dear brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis,” a statement from the camerlengo said.
“At 7:35 this morning the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His whole life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and His Church.”
Pope Francis is anticipated to bring joy to Catholics globally during the Easter celebrations at the Vatican this Sunday, just weeks after battling pneumonia in the hospital.

The 88-year-old pontiff, who has been recovering since leaving the hospital on March 23 after a 38-day treatment period, is expected to deliver the “Urbi et Orbi” blessing from a balcony overlooking Saint Peter’s Square at noon on Sunday, marking the most significant Christian celebration.
The Holy See’s press service indicated that Francis will likely attend the Easter Sunday events, but has not confirmed his presence, stating it is contingent on his health.
Although his voice is still weak, there have been improvements in his breathing, and he has made two public appearances in the past week without the nasal cannula he has been using for oxygen. He may assign someone else the task of reading his Easter message, where he typically reflects on global conflicts and crises.
